Terms of Service

Welcome to Localnk. By accessing or using the Localnk website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Localnk Cameroon ("Localnk," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Cameroon.

Localnk is a local business directory and community platform that connects residents across Yaoundé and Cameroon with local businesses, restaurants, and service providers. Our Platform allows users to:

• Search and discover local businesses and services
• Read and write reviews about businesses
• Claim and manage a business listing
• Book and interact with local service providers
• Participate in community events and discussions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time with or without notice.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Localnk. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at Support@Localnk.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, pose a risk to the Platform or its users.

"User Content" means any content you submit to the Platform, including reviews, ratings, photos, comments, and business information. By submitting User Content, you:

• Grant Localnk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Platform.
• Represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
• Confirm that your content complies with our Content Guidelines.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content. We may, however, remove any content that violates these Terms or our Content Guidelines without prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent content
• Write reviews for businesses you own, manage, or have a financial interest in
• Create multiple accounts or use automated tools to manipulate ratings
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users or business owners
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Cameroonian law
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform

Businesses may claim and manage their listings on Localnk. By claiming a listing, you represent that you are an authorised representative of that business. You agree not to submit false business information or misrepresent your business's products, services, or location.

Localnk does not endorse, verify, or warrant the accuracy of any business listing. Users rely on business information at their own risk. We encourage users to contact businesses directly to confirm details.

We reserve the right to remove or modify any business listing that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms.

Reviews on Localnk must reflect genuine first-hand experiences. We use automated and manual moderation to identify and remove fake or incentivised reviews. Businesses must not solicit, purchase, or otherwise manipulate their reviews or ratings.

Localnk is not liable for the content of user reviews. However, if you believe a review violates these Terms, you may report it using the flag function on the Platform.

All content on the Platform created by Localnk — including the logo, design, software, text, and graphics — is owned by or licensed to Localnk and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Localnk's proprietary content without express written consent.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. Localnk does not control and is not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by those parties' own terms and privacy policies.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Localnk does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by Cameroonian law, Localnk and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid to Localnk, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Localnk and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Yaoundé, Cameroon.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending you a notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
